Mintwood Place Revolutionizes "Bar Food"

Diners most often choose a bar seat for added value and quick service, but usually are offered only a limited menu with a bite-sized snack that leaves you hungry. Fear no more, Mintwood Place has revolutionized the bar menu with exceptional dishes , most under $10, that rotate monthly!

Mintwood Place serves up all the class for half the price. Located at 1813 Columbia Road, NW, 20009, this intimate Adams Morgan bistro has announced their newly expanded bar menu, and we got a taste.

During happy-hour, the 31-seat bar and lounge offers a featured cocktail of the day for $8 each or guests can enjoy draft beer for $5, as well as select red, rosé, white and sparkling wines for $6.

This featured cocktail, the Anjou Can Tell Everybody, with cognac, pear mix, lemon juice, lime juice and Peychaud’s bitters was seasonally spectacular.

Lamb Merquez were plated and delivered to our table with much anticipation. The french-inspired bar fare created by Chef de Cuisine Matthew Cockrell and Pastry Chef Stephanie Milne does not disappoint. Also appearing on the menu is Duck Rillettes and Moules Frites, as well as the Chef's Signature Ratatouille.

The Corn Fritters were a hit at my table, served with rotating dipping sauces, such as cranberry-sage remoulade and spicy honey aioli.

Check out this cozy spot for a classy bar experience that won't break the bank. We recommend for date night!

Mintwood Place offers happy hour specials Tuesday through Friday, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
